Technical Support Engineer – On a day to day basis you’ll be responsible for supporting field service engineers who are out in the field dealing with breakdowns, or you could be dealing with a high rate customer. You will be supporting technical enquiries and along with prioritising job tickets.

The equipment manufactured generally used in high speed production, so you’ll need to react quickly and find solutions to the customers/engineer’s needs. This will be a mixture of priorities such as a breakdown or could be general service visits or product updates.

This maybe sourcing spare parts, requesting Field Engineer support or perhaps just some 1st line support and guidance over the phone.

The beauty of the role is that you will be a key link to finding solutions and gaining and using product knowledge you can add huge value to the company and it’s customer base. Certainly, allowing an ability to think on your feet and offering variety in the position on a day to day basis.

The company have grown 20% year on year over the last decade and offer great opportunities to develop long term careers and progress your skills etc. They are undergoing building a new factory which should take please over the next 18-24 months which is very exciting for the company and again with growth offers opportunities. Firstly, you’ll need to be technically minded or have an interest in electronic engineering, you may have studied to HND, Time-Served, BTEC or Graduate level or you may have a strong interest in machinery for example you may enjoy cars and can take them apart and put them back together again. Candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment along and have drive and be enthusiastic and strive to give excellent customer service/support along with being able to think outside the box.

The company will offer training on their product range and systems so if you have the engineering appetite and the basics they can expand on that.

Any experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or perhaps IT/Software Engineering is highly viable.

You’ll have good communication and customer service skills and enjoy working with people.

Any experience in a Technical Support Role / 1st Line or 2nd Support is also valuable here.
