AIS is looking for a Software Developer in San Antonio, TX. Active TS/SCI is required. Work will be performed as a member of the 90th Cyber Operations Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base TX. The candidate will be investigating and developing new software tools and techniques in support of cyber intelligence and innovation while also supporting the accreditation of new software products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with product owners and/or customers to identify, verify, analyze and validate new software requirements.
Participate in detailed technical discussions, including white-board sessions, and small technical presentations.
Work with a development team throughout the innovation cycle to design, prototype, test and coordinate the solutions to ensure a seamless and effective transition to an end-product.
Review and determine potential architectural changes for future end-product project integration.
Support the development of end product technical documentation and associated artifacts to assist in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation process.
Follow the established software configuration and established software engineering management processes and procedures using Agile framework and Scrum methodologies
Required Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years recent experience in a software engineering role.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Background in networked based systems; can support the development of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/(IPS) Intrusion Prevention Systems where subcomponents are networked together (a system of systems).
Familiar with Security Controls, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS).
Experience in developing cyber security, malware detection/analysis or digital forensics applications.
Working knowledge in Machine Learning algorithms and applications in the areas of Heuristic-based detection.
Knowledge in DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
