Our content marketing mission is to motivate and empower software builders and owners with deep, helpful, authentic content. We write for developers, product managers, CEOs and fellow search enthusiasts. Each piece we produce for them has insights that they can apply today or put in their playbook – check out First Round Review as an example. As we scale our content efforts to various verticals, particularly e-commerce and media, we need your help with writing content for our blog and demand generation efforts: ebooks, whitepapers, interactive, videos (sky is the limit, which is where your creativity comes in). We are open to different professional backgrounds: marketers, copywriters, journalists, e-commerce specialists who are marketers at heart…what’s most important is your skillset and can-do attitude.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Research and continuously learn about the company and the market, sourcing ideas from internal and external resources, blogs, the media
  • Write clear and compelling content, taking it from idea to final product in a tone and voice consistent with the company brand
  • Create multiple versions/shapes of key assets to ensure it’s in the right form for each context
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with internal subject matter experts to learn product and best practices and source ideas
  • Help plan the content calendar, post content on social media, and come up with creative ideas for content distribution and amplification
  • Provide content strategy recommendations: in 3-6 months, you’ll be the in-house expert on the area(s) you are covering
  • Manage simultaneous writing projects and meet hard deadlines

  • Ability to do systematic, deep research on a variety of topics
  • Interpersonal skills: you love engaging internal stakeholders, influencers, customers and prospects for interviews, opinions and stories
