Overview

Electrical Systems Engineer Responsibilities: • Provide support to maintenance team in correcting issues with the equipment and contribute to efforts of minimizing downtime • Troubleshoot electrical and motor circuits, diagnose and resolve problems with the equipment including control panels, indicators, PLC, HMI, and VFD • Maintain and modify PLC and HMI programs • Maintain backup copies of PLC and HMI programs and document any changes made to the programs • Read and interpret electrical drawings, equipment and systems manuals • Seek ways to improve existing equipment and develop solution to illuminate repeated equipment failures • Provide technical support and training on electrical and control systems • Design, build and implement control systems as needed • Wire control systems and motors, following all safety codes • Follow all safety procedures and requirements • Use a variety of hand tools and electric meters • Replace Ethernet cables and/or connectors, assign and maintain Ethernet configuration of the controls • Occasional kneeling, bending, and climbing is required • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures Skills: • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Industrial engineer and/or equivalent experience. • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC 5, CompactLogix), HMIs and drives • Working knowledge of various sensors, relays, switches, controls, indicators, 3 phase AC motors, and servo motors • Be able to work on multiple projects at the same time. • Experience with temperature controls and flame switches • Understand principles of operation of natural gas controls and valves • Communicate effectively with other employees at all levels within the company • Ability to work independently or as a team member • Great attention to details • Industrial experience with control systems is a plus Salary Open (Hourly Rate) Please click apply now to submit resume Category: Engineering , Keywords: Electrical System Engineer
