Our Agoura Hills Tech Center is hiring an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer – HD Maps and Localization. The software engineer will tackle the challenge of autonomous driving by developing integration of HD maps and localization into the software stack for enhanced perception and trajectory planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop techniques for utilizing HD maps as part of a fused perception system.
  • Extract HD Map data to provide horizon data streams for the autonomous software stack.
  • Work with map providers and other standards organizations to identify and integrate autonomous driving components.
  • Collaborate with a larger autonomous driving engineering team, gaining exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines & projects.
  • Build new concepts & groundbreaking solutions that shape the future of mobility
  • Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years’ experience developing systems utilizing ADAS and HD maps
  • Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience developing software for realtime systems
  • Experience with data analysis and techniques for building evaluation ground truthing metrics
  • Comfortable with multiple languages: C++, python, bash, Matlab, Linux system services
  • Comfortable with TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, CAN, JSON, XML protocols
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in autonomous technologies
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science or other STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of mapping database formats
  • Knowledge of localization methods using HD map data
  • Knowledge of automotive radar, vision, lidar, sensor fusion techniques
  • Experience with using HD maps for localization methods
  • Experience with ADASIS v2 and V3
  • Experience with uses of HD maps for autonomous vehicles
