Strategic Services is a practice within BlackBerry Professional Services that helps organizations develop and implement security processes to prevent future cyber-attacks. This team is responsible for delivering various security assessments and strategic plans focused on Incident Response, Enterprise Cybersecurity Programs, and vCISO leadership to our valued customers. BlackBerry Professional Services is seeking a Principal Consultant to deliver strategic consulting services centered around preventative strategies. This is a diverse consulting role that will provide input in the creation, improvement, and execution of strategic security programs for our Clients who require governance and tactical planning, part time security consulting and CISO support. Related delivery services include developing incident response and vulnerability management programs, security assessments, strategic roadmaps, and vCISO. In This Role You Will – Assess and develop security programs, including policies, standards, and procedures – Develop and assist with implementing vulnerability management and incident response programs, and related processes and strategies to improve client cybersecurity programs – Perform strategic incident response solutions such as conducting table top exercises, building incident playbooks and executive level communication plans – Act as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to client’s in both a part-time and full-time capacity – Aid in the development, improvement, and delivery of BlackBerry’s vCISO service offerings – Support the sales team as needed in a pre-sale’s capacity as a service line subject matter expert – Deliver consistent quality deliverables focused on preventing security incidents and reduce risk of harm through understanding our client’s business drivers and risk acceptance – Collaborate with consultants on research, whitepapers and conference talks to drive awareness of the practice’s expertise and capabilities – Contribute to team development, including processes and peer support to advance the capabilities of the practice – Be able to travel to customer locations up to 50%. You will work remotely when you do not need to travel to a customer site You Will Have – Required technical and professional expertise: – Minimum 5 years experience in information security consulting – Minimum 5 years experience in interfacing at multiple levels of client management – Minimum 3 years experience in managing complex projects – Knowledge in security industry regulations/standards (PCI, HIPAA) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27002, CobiT) – Senior Management/Leadership experience or advisement in cybersecurity – A passion for challenging strategic work and excels in both your chosen specialties and new disciplines – A desire to share knowledge with your teammates and in turn learn from others – Experience with various security and compliance frameworks and regulations, enterprise information security governance, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk management – Strong attention to detail and the compulsion to deliver high quality work as a point of professional pride – The ability to work independently with minimal oversight. This means having advanced time management and prioritization skills – Exercising sound judgement in setting customer expectations, and consistently meeting those expectations Interested in hearing more?
