The Enterprise Functions Technology organization provides technology to several lines of businesses including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Audit and Legal with a combined technology spending in excess of $500+MM annually and is a 1100+ person global organization.

Enterprise Functions Technology has embarked on an ambitious Risk Transformation program and as part of that we are looking for a Software Engineer Lead who will be part of a development team that is responsible for developing and supporting an enterprise platform that manages user business processes, reporting and regulatory reporting in the Financial Crimes area of Compliance.

This role will work closely with the Corporate Risk Governance organization to help in building and supporting an enterprise platform that can adapt to changes quickly to conduct Financial Crimes investigations. This is a unique opportunity to make a huge impact in Financial Crimes area and requires a candidate with thought leadership and technical strength.

We are looking for a Financial Crimes Platform Software Engineer Lead (Software Eng) with experience in design, development of enterprise systems, handling high volumes of data in the area of case management and reporting. The candidate would design, implementation, production support and monitoring to replace an existing case management application as well as help build the next generation investigations platform to support Financial Crimes Investigations and Reporting.

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

  • Participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex application
  • Work with onshore/offshore development teams
  • Works with developers and business partners to understand application defects, performance problems and data anomalies.
  • Drives requirements and design discussions.

Technologies involved includes: Oracle, Java/J2EE, XML, SpringBoot. Experience with enterprise level Case Management & Reporting solutions desired.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 4+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical development teams
  • 2+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3 + years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI or Angular JS)
  • 3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 2+ years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
  • 2+ years of Spring experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • Experience using a case management system
  • Financial crimes experience
  • Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to facilitate design sessions
  • Ability to gather and document technical requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
