The Role As the Director of Retirement Plan Implementations, you will drive strategic leadership and management for the Implementation Partner team in our small and mid-large market segments, ensuring results are achieved for all areas of responsibility. You will lead a team of qualified professionals who provide the first impression of Lincoln for new client and consultant relationships, delivering a positive client experience to grow our target markets while attaining profitability objectives. Responsibilities – Builds organizational capability within his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Builds, enhances, and maintains relationships with contacts at client organizations, ensuring clients overall service requirements are satisfied. – Builds, maintains, and proactively maximizes positive business relationships with new and existing internal/external clients and effectively utilizes these relationships in specialized matters requiring cooperation and persuasion. – Collaborates and provides subject matter expertise with internal stakeholders on processes/procedures, proposals, and/or promotional materials for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Directs and leads the identification and resolution of clients with risk of retention. – Directs and leads the identification and resolution of complex client issues/concerns in a timely & collaborative manner. – Directs and oversees the development, maintenance, and execution of complex implementation plans that ensure the clients’ overall service needs are satisfied and achieve the specified business, profitability, and retention objectives. – Directs and provides leadership to continually improve the capability and results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Directs the development and maintenance of a high-quality concierge service that focuses on complex implementation clients/customers and high-volume wholesalers. – Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. – May develop and manage budget/expenses for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Oversees and ensures customer satisfaction through the management of quality review audits of financial and non-financial transactions, analysis of error trends, and customer service issues. – Oversees and provides direction on the development and execution of proactive, creative, & ongoing complex client contact initiatives. – Provides information, education, training, and consultation on complex processes, procedures, products, and/or services to assigned clients. – Provides subject matter expertise and acts as a point of escalation while providing guidance to internal stakeholders on complex implementation solutions which optimize client satisfaction, retention, and achieve desired business results. – Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. – Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent. Education – 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s) – Minimum Required Experience – 7+ Years of experience in relationship management and / or operations that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience – Experience in retirement plan administration and implementation highly preferred Other Skills And Abilities – Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations. – Ability to work with others in a team environment. – Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements. – Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills. – Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. – Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style. – Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines. – Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding. – Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). – Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
