Working remotely, the Business Development/Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support the growth of our client base at our clients. Successful candidates will be highly motivated self-starters able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources, including inbound marketing leads, targeted prospect lists, email marketing campaigns, social media, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach and influence decision makers to take appointments, is essential.
Identify qualified prospects, generate conversations and set up meetings, etc. via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media in order to introduce the company and their solutions and capability to appropriate buyers within the target market.
Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
Ask relevant questions to determine if prospect has pain points that our client’s company has met before.
If so, ask prospect for meeting with respect to pain points and how our client might meet them.
Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in conjunction with company leadership in order to move opportunities into the sales funnel.
Work with company leaders to develop consistently effective methods for contributing vital leads to the team, in order for the team to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
Manage data for new and prospective clients within CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached.
Communicate to prospective customers and company staff thoroughly and effectively.
HS Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
1-3 years sales experience selling solutions to businesses, preferred.
Ability to meet and/or exceed determined outcomes (leads & appointments) and activity quotas. Ability to convince/influence decision makers to take an appointment.
Excellent conversational influence skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to complete assigned tasks and meet objectives without micromanagement.
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
Experience with CRM Software a plus
Conversational knowledge of the IT and consulting industries a plus
