About The Role:
This is a contract position for six months of work from date of hire.
As a Talent Coordinator, you'll support our Talent Advisors in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for candidates applying to work with Giant Tiger. Your responsibilities will include managing the talent acquisition inbox, reviewing job requisitions, conducting background checks, and producing essential reports.
Workplace Arrangements:
This role will follow a fully remote schedule, forty hours weekly from Monday - Friday.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Monitor and manage the talent acquisition email inbox, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and efficient handling of internal inquiries and candidate communications
- Review and approve job requisitions for Stores in Workday, collaborating with hiring managers to ensure accurate and compliant job postings
- Coordinate and conduct background verification process for selected candidates, liaising with external vendor as needed
- Produce employment agreements for temporary employees or employees on secondment, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and legal standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and files of contingent workers in Workday
- Produce weekly reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery
- Ensure compliance with Stats Canada's Statistics Act legislation by completing quarterly reporting for GTSL and GTW legal entities.
What You'll Bring:
- Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail with written work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in a positive way
- Strong proficiency in MS Office
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a strong asset.
