As a member of the Finning Canada Marketing team, you are equal parts strategist, communicator and analyst; and as the Social Media Specialist you will play a pivotal role in audience engagement and lead generation across an enterprise-level, multi-channel social media program.
You will own and enhance the strategy and positioning across all channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and X while constantly keeping a pulse on the latest social media trends, technologies and platforms. You are the internal SME for all things social, educating and informing internal employees, partners and stakeholders on how to best leverage social media to expand the Finning reach.

Job Description:
- Responsible for channel strategy development aligning with brand and business objectives.
- Ensure channel strategy alignment with the annual marketing plan.
- Responsible for setting and managing data-driven engagement goals.
- Develop and manage the social media calendar.
- Manage the Finning brand and voice on all social channels.
- Partner with Customer Experience to manage brand reputation.
- Collaborate with regional social media counterparts to align global projects, share best practices, successes and learnings.
- Collaborate with Paid Advertising Specialists to define paid programs, actively review results and action insights.
- Manage the collaborative process with internal stakeholders to curate stories and experiences across all brands.
- Create and produce multimedia content.
- Maintain brand voice and visual standards throughout the creation of content to ensure consistency.
- Produce and edit content for other Finning regional properties as required.
- Proactive engagement for branch, corporate and industry events, review events calendar and collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture assets.
- Manage social content platforms (i.e. Sprout).
- Work with the internal Analytics team to regularly monitor and analyze social media performance and use a data-driven approach for continual optimization.
- Support content production of paid social marketing campaigns.
- Lead junior staff in creating, managing, posting and monitoring content on all social media channels.
- Lead and manage external agencies to produce content that meets the Finning brand standards and requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Min of 5 years of previous experience in social media management/digital marketing.
- Experience in managing multiple B2B or B2C social media channels.
- Proven ability to create compelling branded content.
- Experience in managing junior staff and external vendors.
- Certification in Hootsuite, HubSpot or other social media and content programs.
- Knowledge of social media and digital marketing principles and current practices.
- Have a ruthless focus on the voice of the customer and resonate with our audience(s).
- Have an enate curiosity; identify challenges, seek solutions, and provide recommendations.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and basic video editing software would be an asset.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Communications or other relevant discipline.
