The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and sales strategy.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding and presenting the technical aspects of a product or service to potential customers. They collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies, ensuring that customer requirements are met while aligning with the company’s goals.
This role entails close collaboration with Account Executives as part of the presale processes and R&D to reflect customers needs.
"This is a Hybrid role, that requires 3 days a week in office - "Monday, Tuesday & Thursday"
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with our Sales team to facilitate technical engagements with customers, ensuring precise identification of their need and requirements
- Develop a deep understanding of Nimble’s products, including technical specifications and features.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products.
- Provide technical support during the sales process, including product demonstrations and presentations, and onboarding of new customers.
- Address any complex technical issues or inquiries that can help close business deals.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and bridging the gap between client needs and technical implementation.
- Work in synergy with various departments, including Product and Engineering teams, to resolve customer issues promptly and leverage valuable customer feedback for product enhancement.
- Cultivate a profound understanding of web scraping and web data domains, becoming an expert in utilizing our technology to help customers achieve their business goals.
- Conduct training sessions for customers, sales teams, and internal staff on product features and functionality.
- Create and update technical documentation and training materials.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of pre-sales experience with technical SaaS products, ideally serving engineers, particularly in web scraping or data extraction domains.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Proficiency in working with APIs and log troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of web technologies, including HTML and CSS.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record in managing and nurturing relationships with enterprise clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage different stakeholders.
- Passion about learning new technologies and becoming an expert in your domain.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
