We are looking for a QA Engineer to focus on our EverCommerce Payments product line powered by PaySimple. PaySimple is the leading provider of payment management solutions for over 20,000 SMBs. Our APIs and SaaS products provide payment acceptance, billing automation, client management, ecommerce, mobile, and point-of-sale solutions tailored to the needs of service-based businesses.
As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the highest quality of standards across multiple products and projects. You’ll create and execute test plans, automate test cases, and collaborate with stakeholders. You are detail oriented, have a rigorous approach to testing software, and take it personally when issues are released to production.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of payment industry experts to ensure the quality of sophisticated APIs and SaaS applications
- Develop and maintain testing strategies, both manual and automated
- Own the progression and execution of test plans and cases for new features
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working with the product and engineering teams to prioritize test execution and report on results
- Participate in design and specification reviews
- Ensure best practices and standards are followed, maintain and oversee detailed documentation
- Accurately document defects with reproducible steps and root cause analysis
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing
- Experience designing and executing manual and automated tests for APIs, web-based software, and mobile applications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
- Working knowledge of HTTP and RESTful services, iOS and Android testing, and end-to-end test frameworks, such as Cypress or Protractor
- Experience with regression, performance, stress, unit, integration, and security testing
- Commitment to test-driven development, continuous integration, and test automation
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle, including code reviews and standards, source control management, and build processes.
- Ability to learn quickly and comfortable working at a dynamic company
- Encourages and accepts personal feedback
Where: This position is a remote/hybrid position located in the US or Canada.
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
