In this role you will have primary responsibility for developing and enhancing our Web Applications and Intrusion Detection solutions to support the secure delivery of our applications to over 25million people worldwide.
As a Network Security Engineer you will be experienced in securing complex network infrastructures, mitigating cyber threats and will play a key role in protecting our organisations network infrastructure and critical assets. You will also be responsible for deploying and managing best in class security tooling and processes to support a complex, growing global organisation.
This position can be located in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane!
What you’ll do:
- Design, deploy and manage network security tools and processes for the FNZ Group, particularly:
- Web Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to enhance the security of FNZ systems and architecture
- Keep up to date with evolving attack tactics, techniques and procedures and apply continuous improvement to security tools and processes
- Translate regulatory and client requirements into technical security controls
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of F5 Distributed Cloud WAF
- Experience of security engineering in regulated industries
- Experience of mapping security solutions to frameworks (NIST, SCF, ISO)
- Experience of engineering in large scale environments, specifically managing multiple stakeholders and change in complex technology stacks.
- Experience with using automation during deployment and management, this may include Terraform, REST APIs, Python etc.
- Proven ability to develop secure solutions to complex problems.
- Strong experience of designing, deploying and managing IDS/IPS, WAF technology
- Creating/maintaining WAF policies, i.e. false positives, iRules, application optimisation
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis in WAF and IDS/IPS management
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate with varied stakeholders.
