Role Summary
The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for translating customer business requirements into a working business system solution using DXC Assure software products. Working as part of the Global Specialty implementation team you will be delivering an industry-leading software solution for the client.
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Engage with Customers through workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and objectives
- Capture detailed business requirements as Agile requirement artifacts (Epics, User Stories etc.) that can be allocated and managed using the DXC Scaled Agile Delivery Process
- Ability to support and advise the project team and customers on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit customer solutions based on Insurance Domain and DXC Assure Product knowledge
- Adhere to and contribute to the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of Assure software products
- Works collaboratively in a team environment supporting DXC & Client resources with knowledge and experience of Insurance solutions
- Solution testing & issue management/resolution
- Lead and participate in internal quality reviews of solution design
- Provide inputs to project estimates after analysis of solution requirements
- Support client engagements through the full project life cycle
Essential Skills/Qualifications
- Strong Insurance domain expertise – Lloyds and Company market knowledge preferably with experience of Broker, Carrier, Syndicate and MGA operations
- Ability to lead the solution design process both client-facing and internal
- Experience in the design and delivery of Insurance Administration Systems
- SQL skills including the ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures
- Knowledge and experience of modern analysis techniques including:
- Agile
- Process Mapping (current and future state)
- Development of data flow diagrams (current and future state)
- Entity relationship mapping
- Knowledge of Unified Modelling Language
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail with strong documentation skills
Desirable Skills/Qualifications
- Familiarity with the configuration of Assure Software products
- Polished presentation/demonstration skills
- Practical working knowledge of Insurance Applications
- Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones
- Prepared to travel when required
