We are looking for a Software Support Engineer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and delivering "WOW" moments.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of customer technical issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using an analytical and data-driven approach.
- Document technical issues working with the engineering and product team to build a playbook to detail triage and resolution steps
- Reproduce issues and provide detailed evidence from logs and tests executed in test environments to the Engineering team
- Support Level 2 service requests on both our B2B and B2C platforms
- Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing products
Skills Knowledge And Expertise
- Deep experience as a software support engineer
- Experience with server-side languages such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, Java or PHP.
- Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
- Experience in database design and SQL query performance optimisation
- Experience working in a product focused creative environment
- An excellent work ethic and can-do attitude
- Attention to detail.
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable and efficient code
- A talent for communicating ideas, issues and solutions in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow outside of the office
- Keen interest in learning new programming languages and frameworks
- Follow best practices (SOLID and DRY principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards)
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Server side languages such as Ruby, Python, Java or PHP;
- Experience and skills on frontend web development;
- Experience with AWS.
