Talent Acquisition Specialist
CAE’s Talent Acquisition team is newly established and rapidly expanding to support the growth of the company within the EMEA region. As a team we’ve started to establish the recruitment processes, tools, and structure that will enable CAE to continue to recruit at scale while focusing on best practice and candidate experience. Join our team as we continue to embark on this transformation journey.
Day to day you’ll support the recruitment within our Civil Aviation business for Flight Instructor related positions. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own business area autonomously, and to develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies for difficult to fill positions. This will also include identifying new technologies, systems, suppliers, and events to help build a sustainable pipeline of talent.
The role we are offering you
- Develop innovative talent attraction strategies to meet the organization’s current and future needs
- Manage the full recruitment process, including needs analysis, advertising and promoting the position, pre-screening, interviews, selection and offer.
- Continuously cultivate and evaluate the channels and methods for new candidate screening.
- Discover new ways to transform recruitment practices. Maximize research skills and professional network to attract top talent.
- Work closely with managers and HR business partners to increase efficiency.
- Advise and influence managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure the highest service level standards for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Promote a pro-active recruitment culture with managers and various partners.
- Collaborate with business leaders on workforce planning and in developing staffing solutions.
- Promote our core values and promote our employer brand.
- Contribute to the improvement of the talent-acquisition processes.
- Manage or participate in various projects associated with talent acquisition, employer branding, resource development and related fields.
- Develop and maintain a network within industry associations.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of recruitment experience across the EMEA Market (International recruitment experience would be an asset)
- Demonstrable experience of building proactive sourcing strategies for difficult to fill positions
- Experience within the aviation/ aerospace industries
- Excellent stakeholder management ability to influence and persuade stakeholders
- Experience managing and deploying graduate/internship programmes would be an asset.
- Avid user of social media as a source of recruitment and positioning of the company’s branding.
- Strong interpersonal skills supporting teamwork and collaboration
- Results-focused analysis and synthesis skills.
- Strong organizational skills, priority management, autonomy.
- Familiar with skills-based interview techniques and very strong knowledge of innovative recruitment practices.
- Drive for results and sense of urgency, with the ability to work under pressure while meeting high expectations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite tools, LinkedIn or other recruitment tools.
Location:
This position is to be remotely based in the UK, with travel to Gatwick and Burgess Hill in West Sussex periodically.

We’re looking for you to be really proactive in your approach. Where you can make the most difference will be around identifying ways to pipeline and talent pool for those hard to fill areas. You’ll have the support of a fairly large and growing team, but the ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload and stakeholders is also important. Lastly, an eye for continuous improvement will really help us as a team as we embed our new processes.
