Reporting to the Director of FP&A and demand planning, this position will co-create the Demand Plan for the North American market, by customer and product. The Demand Plan (DP) is the basis for purchasing and significantly influences the inventory management/stock turn and re-order availability. Ensure the North American demand planning process is maintained on a monthly basis by country, key accounts and product in accordance with the Business Calendar including presentation of the demand plan to the senior management. To closely work with sales and product management to understand account strategy, category focus and business trends.
To work closely with procurement, vendor management and sales operations to ensure a high level of service to our customers while limiting excess inventory.
Provide the tools and information that will allow the business to capture, track and monitor the sales results and trends throughout the demand planning process.
To align and coordinate with our margin planning analyst and ensure that prices, costs and discounts are maintained in a timely manner.
Optimization of existing demand planning tool and processes to drive efficiency including leveraging sell-through reports in the forecasting process.
Bachelor’s degree in administration and 3-5 yrs of experience in demand planning.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate figures into business language;
Strong excel skills with the ability to manage large quantities of data.
Very good communication skills and ability to present to an executive group;
Bilingual (French and English) is mandatory
