Our client within real estate requires an Office and Accounting Administrator to join their team. Based on reception, this role will provide general office and accounting support.
Responsibilities:
Accounting
Code and enter all Accounts Payable invoices including employee expense reports
Administer cheque runs, including matching, packaging and distribution of cheques, and filing of paid invoices
Processing electronic payments (EFTs Wires) to suppliers
Assist with preparation of Construction draws
Assist with preparation of GST returns
Assist with account analysis as required
Assist with investor inquiries and distribution of investor communications and tax documents
Assist with preparation of monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
Assist with year end audits for real estate properties and properties under development
Support the maintenance of the investor reporting portal
Ad hoc accounting support including completion of simple corporate tax filings and financial statements
Tenant Support
Respond to tenant maintenance requests for retail property
Office
Greet Visitors
Manage ordering of supplies
Send couriers
Open and Distribute mail
Role requirements:
Proficient in Excel. Exposure to accounting software a strong asset.
Knowledge of accounts payable procedures
Experience in processing electronic payments (EFTs and Wires)
Ability to assist in account analysis and monthly bank reconciliations
Attention to detail in invoicing, cheque runs, and invoice filing
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to respond to tenant maintenance requests
Ability to work in a customer-facing role with retail property tenants
Problem-solving skills to address and resolve tenant issues efficiently
Professional demeanor when greeting visitors
Strong organizational skills for ordering supplies and managing office inventory
Experience managing courier services and deliveries
Proficient in handling office mail, including sorting and distribution
