Responsibilities
The individual in this role will enable and expand Everest’s profitable growth by executing a training and development strategy for WFG sales teams that will grow sales across Canada.
The role requires broad knowledge and experience in delivering effective training and ongoing education to sales teams and individual agents. Experience working directly with agents who market and sell financial services and life insurance products is helpful.
The individual in this role will need to be a hands-on professional with the ability to coach, energize and motivate others. Working collaboratively and patiently with new and experienced sales agents representing various age ranges, backgrounds, and ethnicities is critical to achieving and sustaining success. An entrepreneurial spirit is highly desirable.
Specific Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Everest Senior VP of Sales, and with WFG partners, to develop a sales and marketing plan to expand Everest support in assigned territory.
Develop and foster relationships with senior WFG agent leadership with the goal of generating enthusiasm for the Everest product
Educate the WFG sales teams on the products and services with a focus on increased sales by delivering in-person and virtual training as appropriate.
Maintain a high number of in-office and virtual training sessions and face-to-face agent meetings.
Conduct continuous follow-up visits and provide telephone and email support to WFG agents, responding to inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
Considerable travel required, mainly within the assigned territory for in-person meetings, office training, WFG events, and conventions. Travel outside of the province and out of the country will occasionally be required.
Qualifications
Ability to translate large amounts of product and service information into understandable value propositions understood by both experienced and newly licensed agents.
Exceptional oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect equally well with top producers and with newly licensed agents.
Results focused, with a commitment to consistently meeting the expectations of Everest and of the WFG organization.
Proven ability to build and retain solid relationships cross-functionally.
Ability to quickly translate business requirements into actions to ensure plans are executed on time and within budget.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Ability to use technology, including Microsoft office, e-mail, text, social media, Everest-specific database management applications.
Ability to work from home effectively and efficiently.
Ability to accommodate flexible scheduling, with most of the training taking place late afternoons, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the availability of agents.
Solid understanding of the life insurance industry and products, and familiarity with the life sales model are helpful.
