We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic Roam team. In this role, you will work on-site, collaborating with hardware, equipment, and manufacturers to ensure optimal performance of our products. Your expertise will also support community members in addressing miner and technical issues. Proficiency in Mandarin is required for effective communication with manufacturers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain firmware for hardware devices, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturers to address production and quality control issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and firmware-related issues in mining equipment.
- Familiar with basic network knowledge, TCP-IP protocol family, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols, and able to troubleshoot and locate various WiFi-related problems through packet capture and other analysis methods;
- Experience in developing OpenWRT is preferred
- Provide technical support to community members on miner operations, configurations, and performance issues.
- Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on hardware specifications.
- Document firmware processes, updates, and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in firmware development or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware diagnostic equipment.
- Familiar with basic network knowledge, TCP-IP protocol family, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols, and able to troubleshoot and locate various WiFi-related problems through packet capture and other analysis methods;
- Experience in developing OpenWRT is preferred
- Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on-site.
