The Payroll Analyst will play a key leadership role in driving process improvements and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the payroll team. As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, the Payroll Analyst will contribute to an engaging and supportive work environment.
Reports to: Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting
Analyze and evaluate current payroll processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Research and recommend emerging payroll technologies and best practices.
Serve as a leader and mentor within the payroll team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Provide training and support on payroll systems, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related challenges.
Work with payroll service providers to resolve issues and implement solutions. Payroll Processing:
Administer end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities. Process new hires, separations, and payroll adjustments, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Benefits Administration:
~ Manage and reconcile benefits, pension enrollments, and remittances for RPP, RRSP, and other plans. Ensure benefits processes align with payroll and organizational policies.
Post-secondary education in payroll, accounting, or related business program
Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-location environment, including experience with hourly and salaried payroll
Experience using Dayforce will be considered a major asset
